Mountain Home, Idaho sets between the Danskin and Owyhee Mountains, approximately 40 miles southeast of Boise. Mountain Home, Idaho currently has a population over 14,000 and growing daily due to new industry and "our" Mountain Home Air Force base. You see, Mountain Home has strong ties to the base and their issues are "our" issues. There are many retired military members that live in our community, which also strengthens the ties. Annually, we have our Mountain Home Air Force Appreciation Day. Which we can proudly boast to being one of the largest parades in Idaho. The Chamber also hosts other events throughout the year.

A Word From Your President
As most of you know, my platform for the past year has been focused on getting the word out about shopping local. We talked about the benefits of keeping our money here in Mountain Home and what kind of impact it has on our community. Darbi sent me something on Facebook the other day which I thought was worth sharing. So here it is:
“WHEN YOU BUY FROM A MOM OR POP BUSINESS, YOU ARE NOT HELPING A CEO BUY A THIRD VACATION. YOU ARE HELPING A LITTLE GIRL GET DANCE LESSONS, A LITTLE BOY GET HIS TEAM JERSEY, A MOM OR DAD PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE, A FAMILY PAY A MORTGAGE, OR A STUDENT PAY FOR COLLEGE. OUR CUSTOMERS ARE OUR SHAREHOLDERS AND THEY ARE THE ONES WE STRIVE TO MAKE HAPPY. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESSES!”
The next time you are thinking of making a purchase, please give your neighbor and fellow Small Business owners the opportunity to earn your business. Please have those discussions with your employees and spread the word. The economic vitality of our town is our responsibility. One bad experience is all it takes to persuade a customer to shop elsewhere. Always remember “World-class Customer Service” is critically important to ensure we turn our customers into “REPEAT” customers. Thank you, Robby
